XL Pro’s Guide to Five Great Characteristics That Make Human Resource Leaders, Leaders
Seeing the external side of the company-
Having a day or two dedicated to shadowing your fellow teammates is a great way to contribute as a more active member. Really dig your hands in the mud and get involved in what they experience that way you develop more knowledge about the company, learn how you can better assist and lead your team to greater heights, and strategize new plans based on everyone’s experiences. Afterall, every business functions differently!
Analyzing problems and implementing solutions–
Whether new or reoccurring problems, which we hope aren’t happening more than twice, but being able to give healthy and factual advice while leaving your opinions aside can be difficult. On one hand, if a co-worker is having difficulty with motivation, there are plenty of healthy alternatives than drinking more coffee and developing nervous jitters. (Please don’t tell your team members to drink more coffee.)
It is your responsibility to motivate and encourage healthy practices during work and even after work to practice! If you need extra tips check out these recommended sites:

We have entered an era of inclusivity and looks can no longer determine a person’s qualification. This is paramount progress and as an HR professional/leader and we should strive to help employers, hiring managers, and even co-workers to help build a friendly and inclusive work environment.
This includes always being hungry for knowledge and practicing your art. Whether this entails perusing academic HR studies and certifications, shadowing your co-workers as mentioned above, or simply brushing up on new codes and HR trends that can be helpful. Remember, you are a huge piece of a puzzle that impacts how your work environment is affected. Some great workplace ideas:
- Holiday and thank you cards (with appropriate content)
- Be the bridge between employees and employers
