Let’s face it, COVID-19 showed up out of the blue, uninvited, and has lasted longer than we all thought. Right now, fluctuating cases of coronavirus around the world continue to limit us. The social activities we once knew have been replaced with social distancing, wearing masks, and frequently sanitizing EVERYTHING!  (Find more up to date COVID-19 cases here).

If you have found yourself wandering aimlessly in search of things to do, you have come to the right place! It is time to find that summer to-do list you have been putting off and cross out those hard tasks.

Ditch Social Media – The number of hours consumed by social media has skyrocketed since COVID-19 hit in March this year. Whether you have been an avid social media user or casual, the hours spent on browsing social media is almost always going to be a waste of your time, unless you have a social media related career. As addicting as the internet has become, more time for productivity can leave you more fulfilled.

Start a budgeting plan – Spending money has become less of an issue with limited places to go, this is a great opportunity to get your finances in order. While a budgeting plan may be tedious for some, it is super effective and amazingly easy to create! Find a template on Excel or check out our blog on saving money.

Organize Your Home – Surprisingly, decluttering and deep cleaning homes have become trending topics from influencers and TV stars alike. It is a soothing feeling to be able to feel accomplished and have a clear headspace.

Go Through Your Clothes – When was the last time any of us have gone through our clothes? Like clearing out your home, re-organizing and decluttering your clothes will give you a fresh new headspace. You can donate or sell your clothes, organize your clothes by color coding them and preplanning outfits, and even give them all a little more TLC by re-washing them… PROPERLY!

Start a Club – While keeping social distancing and limited crowd numbers in mind, coronavirus is a great opportunity – or excuse – to do those extra-curricular things you have been wanting to try.

Grow a Sustainable Garden – Reduce the amount of grocery trips made during COVID-19 by starting a vegetable or fruit garden. You can also make your home look amazing! Productive and delicious!

Exercise – NO ONE likes exercising. However, during a time of quarantine, Helpguide.org says, “While being fit won’t prevent you from catching the virus, it does have many other protective effects. Physical activity helps improve all aspects of your health, including boosting your immune system. It also reduces stress and anxiety and improves mood, which in turn helps you sleep better and prevents burnout.”

Meal Prep – Making your lunches everyday will save you a lot of money in the long run but if you REALLY do not like cooking, a healthy alternative would be to subscribe to a meal delivery service.

Step 1: Cook a BIG meal

Step 2: Take a selfie with the food

Step: 3 portion it out for the week
